Dear Roger, Thanks for the Farrel essay. I don’t remember reading it before. It is prophetic. Dreiser is being reinstated as a major novelist after a long marginalization. And I think you’ve had a lot to do with this new interest in a flawed but great writer. Thank you for all your efforts. I wish you the best of luck, health, and happiness in your research.
